New Music for Early Instruments was first published in February 2008. It is a labor a love, an educational resource that is not presently tied to any larger institution. Nell conceived of this project, and is responsible for maintaining the website and assembling the content. She is a 19-year-old classical composer from New York. (Once upon a time, she was a rock musician.) In fall 2008 Nell will begin her B.M. at New England Conservatory in Boston, MA. Her desert island discs are Monteverdi's "L'Orfeo" and "Vespro Della Beata Vergine" recorded by Concerto Italiano.

Arthur Haas

Renowned throughout Europe and America as a peerless pedagogue and performer of Baroque and contemporary music. He is currently professor of Harpsichord, Early Music Performance and Continuo at SUNY Stony Brook.

He has performed with many acclaimed chamber and early music ensembles including the Waverly Consort and Anonymous 4, and is a founding member of the vocal ensemble Lionheart and the viol consort Parthenia.
